About Me:
Hi, I’m Alistair, a generally optimistic Englishman (sorry) who can be described as caring, loyal and charming by people that don’t know me very well, when in fact I am 30% tea, 20% sarcasm and 50% dyslexic, yes, that is my most defining characteristic.
I have many interests: Warhammer, books, hiking, writing to name a few, but I have a big love for Video games. Both their creation and the playing. Which is most likely why you’re here. I have a particular fondness for narrative driven games and turn based combat along with the occasional RTS. As an example, I find The Stanly Parable to be a wonderful exploration of storytelling in games, the grand scale of Supreme Commander an absolute blast, and the characters of Final Fantasy IX extremely engaging.
TLDR: Games good, but bad at playing them.
Lastly and most importantly, I have an absolutely adorable fluAy dog, if you’re lucky she might wander in during a stream.
Challenge
I, like many of you, often picked up games in curtain sales that I either never played, or have yet to complete. I have 733 uncompleted games, and it has reached a point where I feel that I need to start actually completing some of them. A challenge was made, no new games until I complete at least two games from my back log. To make it a little more diAicult, any new games I get, do not count towards my backlog; meaning that I cannot just complete a new game I buy and one other from my Library.
Seems easy enough. And sure enough, I’ve already picked up a few loose stragglers and shorter games, but a lot of my library is JRPs and longer story driven narrative. There are some games I just do not know how to define as complete, so how can these even count? Maybe you can help me define completion for some of these games. Long story short, it might start easy with, but it’s going to get difficult.
Mission Statement
While steaming and trying to complete my challenge we want to create a fun and engaging environment where people can chat in comfort. Respect and kindness is all we want from our community, as long as you bring that, we’re happy to talk about anything and everything. Come and share your passion with us. I know, sounds cheesy, but it should be nice.
